“Change happens through movement and movement heals”

- Joseph Pilates

The magic of movement inspired me to become a dance teacher back in Lithuania, the country where I was born and raised. I moved to the United States 23 years ago, straight to East Hampton! I immediately devoted myself to learning the English language, and, as I was eager to learn more about movement on a scientific scale, I enrolled in the PTA program at Suffolk County Community College. In 2003 I earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science and became a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. The marriage of dance and physical rehabilitation brought me to Polestar Education, where I graduated as a certified Pilates Rehab professional in 2016, after ten years of being an avid Pilates student and studying with Ellie Herman of Ellie Herman Pilates and Polestar Pilates education.
My love for movement goes beyond the dance studio and the Pilates reformer. In my free time, I love to swim, bike, run, stand up paddle board (SUP) and continue to explore the ways in which movement is truly a therapy on so many levels. I am also proud to serve the East Hampton community as an Ocean Rescue volunteer.

I am excited to see you in my studio, RasaPilates, and share my many years of knowledge with you.
